As CLEMSONLiVE’s C4U Director, I am very excited to tell you about a great opportunity we hope to provide to your organization. Our goal for CLEMSONLiVE’s C4U committee is to work with other student organizations in a collaborative way to create events.
The brainstorming form for C4U is attached. You can also find it at www.clemsonlive.com or at the CLEMSONLiVE office in 214 Hendrix Student Center. The process for organizations interested in working with C4U is simple. By filling out the form, you are requesting that CLEMSONLiVE considers your event ideas and a meeting with your organization.
There are other criteria that may affect our decision to create an event with you. They are:
1) Timeliness (each event will differ, however at least one month in advance is expected),
2) The entertainment value of your event ideas (please see below for explanation),
3) And the amount of resources (money, time, etc.) that C4U has available.
CLEMSONLiVE’s definition of entertainment includes events that provide fun, amusement, and/or an alternative leisurely activity to the Clemson student population. For example, comedic and music events meet our definition of entertainment. Since CLEMSONLiVE wants to bring a variety of entertainment on campus through C4U, your event ideas may be denied if they are similar to other events already in progress. After the committee has reviewed your application, you will be notified with a meeting time through email. If your organization does meet with C4U, discussion about event ideas and whether or not CLEMSONLiVE is willing to participate in the event will be addressed.
To ensure fair opportunity for C4U collaboration, each form will be reviewed in the order in which they are received. The application needs to be submitted at least one month in advance to be considered. CLEMSONLiVE’s C4U committee wants to work with you to create an event. We want to provide knowledge about how to make an event, volunteers to plan and execute the event, funding, marketing, and any other assistance your organization needs to make your event happen.
While we hope to work with each organization on programming their events, we do not have enough resources to completely fund or program every event.
CLEMSONLiVE will no longer only provide funding or marketing assistance for already programmed events.
